Newcastle has some great places to kite in nearly every wind direction.

Nobbys beach in a NE
Greta spot in a NE. Waves of the reef or near flat water south of the north rocks. Walk up the beach past the swimming area. THere is ususally a sign indicating th eno go zone, just go north. Beware of the shallow reef in the middle and north end. Ask a local before starting your session.

Stockton in N-NE
Southern end of stockton near large see wall. Keep an eye out for the great whites though.

Bar/Merewether Beach in NE-S
Great spot for wave riding and in NE or SE. Can launch all along the beacj but avoid the flag areas.

Squids Ink on Lake Macquirie in a W-NW
Great Flat Water spot in W-NW. This spot can be gusty in those strong westerlys and has housing and powerline hazards down wind if you loss it big time.

Fishermans Coop at Swansea - S-SW
Another flat water spot on the lake, dodgy lauch and landing area do to trees, but good flat water kiting.
