its really easy to meet people that kitesurf...... just hang around at the beach and assist launches and catch kites!
it has been my experience in both windsurfing and kitesurfing that just saying hello to people on the beach and asking how their session was is a sure fire way to make some new buddies.
If that all fails you could move to sydney and open a kite shop!!!
