Margs is not in or even near Perth. it is three and a half hours south by car on the Freeway.

As for a spot to ride? I would strongly suggest riding Boat ramps which is 400m further south again. It is very crowded with angry local windsurfers who dont mind beating the crap out of you if you drop in on them or drop your kite in the line up or worst still in the break itself.

I would strongly advise you do not kite there unless you are pro level and have absolute courtesy and respect for the locals at all times!

Main Break is not a particularly good wave to kite in any case, the launch is dangerous, the reef is shallow and known as the surgeons table for good reason! No where to come in if you screw up, strong currents and big surf. Wind also goes offshore late in the afternoon making it very gusty and hard to get back to the beach by the foot of the rocky cliffs.

All in all a pretty dangerous place to kite. Try somewhere safer.

There are a multitude of breaks around Margret river, all world class, less crowded, less hassle and big waves, look around when you get there.
