I was talking to one of the blokes at SHQ yesterday who told me that Hampton is OK on NW - I don't know anywhere around melbourne that works on straight Northerly (or Easterlies).

BTW - I just bought a 10m Nitro (04) in anticipation of todays 20-30 knot SW - and I love it!

I found myself pointing well upwind, which i had trouble doing on my 13m Diesel (and to a lesser extent on my 17m CO2). I don't think my skills improved that dramatically over the last couple of days so I have to conclude that the kite makes a big difference

I paid $1050 for kite only, brand new from SHQ (old stock) - I am using my slingshot bar with it, which seems to work fine as the twin oh ** loops will work fine with the relaunch function

I'm now thinking of getting rid of my 13m Diesel to replace it with another Nitro or somethng similar - anyone want one?

Hi, Head down to Rye, great spot on a Northerly. Or take the trip down to Geelong and Pt. Henry. Super flat spot but gets crowded quickly on a weekend on a good warm North wind.......
