Sounds like Wello 2day... 15-20 NE, increaseing 20-30 knots in the afternoon... My 10m was wayyyy 2 big for even the 23 knots because it was gusting soo much, and even a 7m in the more strong winds I could just hold down for an hour or so... Talk about choppy and overpowered (safe though), but loving it

I used a LF M80 7m for the first time today, and seeing I am so used to my 10m Cab Element, I found this kite to be excellent! (I used my bar and lines and it was perfect!) It flew so well, and even though it was small, it wasn't too fast, and it was very responsive... Loved it

Hey Fitzy, It's been a while!

That was the plan until I had about four straight weeks of head in the textbook assignments, with work and kiting in between, and then an exam last monday...However, now uni is over for four months and I'm desperately in need of a smaller board for the great 20+ knot winds we've been getter here lately .

I've got all the great info you gave me on design and style, and everything, and a few ideas from some other sites, so I'll see how it goes.... A 125-130x30-35 is on the drawing board, and I'll have a shot at it in a few weeks if we don't have any wind...! Let's hope we do though

Cheers Fitzy... I'll let you know when I start and how I go along the way

Hey Liz

Pictures of my newly finished Carbon Kevlar Board are now posted in the Photos section of this forum, in the "Other" section.

It's super light and very strong, made from two pieces of Klegicell foam with a carbon fibre layer sandwiched in between.

Then covered with one layer of Carbon Kevlar and one layer of 4oz Fibreglass on top and bottom.

Used epoxy resin and finished with white two pack urethane on the bottom and clear on the top.

Has nice tunnel underneath and is an upwind machine.

Will make a 142 And a 120 next.

Im leading the R@D side of Fitzy business and shall try all boards for considerable amount of time. Theres also talk that he may $back$ with a leading pro rider to develop a kite that will be available in '07' throughout Aust. Cannot say too much ATM, but talk is he's looking for local riders throughout aust????

Fitzy, that's another absolutely amazing board you've made! Looks brilliant! The consistant winds are sure starting to kick in nicely (even if the BOM only predict 10/15 and we always get 15/20 lately) ... Cheers for the pictures

Paulio - Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhsssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh

Thanks Liz. If you get down this way I have a 130x39 hollow ply board you can have. You will just need some fittings (pads, straps and fins) It should be perfect for your incredible skill level in a high wind.
