g'day all
just found out there is better stuff to do on night shift then sleep. IE FORUMS.
I'm pretty new to the whole kiting scene but so far its rockin. livin in far north queensland dont get many waves but do get the wind so it kiting suits the area.
anyway got riding the board both directions sorted out can even change without falling over, sometimes. Cant figure out how to go up wind anyone got any advice other then practice.
by the way all the photos being posted, love em. cant watch the movies on work computers though

Hi mate, I;m gonna be comming up your way in a couple of weeks, Cairns/Pt douglas... Anyway, get going a little faster, and dig the edge in more and try to take the up wind hand off the kite (fly it with the other hand) and rotate your body and look where you want to go. and make sure that you have some weight on the front foot.
But at the end of the day it'll just come to you. Downwinders are great at your stage, lots of time kiting and less time walking back up the beach, really helps.

i thiink looking way upwind over your shoulder really helps. i found the edging just came when i did that.
