It looks like it could be Friesland in the Netherlands, although surely there will be more places in the world that look like that.

Friesland is awesome it's got heaps of massive lakes connected by rivers so you can go from lake to lake and town to town sailing or kiting or whatever you're doing.

i think he is in florida or north carolina...not too sure though.
If anyone has ever seen his EPIC wipeout and carnage when he tried to jump a building on a pier (and is really lucky to not be paralyzed) it is amazing to see that he just got back on when he healed and kept riding.
The only thing about his amazing skills that I don't like is his Captain America wetsuit....which has nothing to do with his skills. The guy flat out rips.

Was chatting to dimitri last night through email he's an excitable chap. Not sure why we don't see more screamers around looks the right kite for this style. Who stocks them in Perth. Check out his YouTube clip talking about the 2012 screamers he a nutter. Love it when someone is excited about his product.

Yeh great vid great kiting so much lift and hang time and so smooth. This is why I got into kiting in the old mark shinn days and why I continue to kite. Well at least it's a dream to kite like that in reality I'm just another shmuk. But hey it's good to dream right!!

classic - great video ! although it could have been a really sweet 4 minuter

So entertaining and much easier to watch than coniption fit handle passes 2 ft off the water.

All the moves are circa 2003 - when people actually used to boost- noawdays its just a lawn moving festival.

does this mean kiting is back ?

you would think with Kiting being the ever evolving new "cool" sport that the airs would have gotten bigger and better from 2003.
The only things that have gotten bigger are attitudes and hairstyles

Sweeeet - awesome playground, and we get all excited over a 100m at Woodies or The Pond

Yeah Ive got the Screamers and Renegade models, the screamers are definately the Rocket Jump machines and when you mega loop the 10 or 9, you best hang on tight cause you get yanked very hard and a long way!

I like his videos because it shows what the kite can do as well as himself. Its very basic but straight to the point - no frills no stupid car intros no stupid nightclub shots... just pure fun kiteing at its best and is not scared to show his Big wipeouts and crashing into stuff.

Hes very carefull who he lets distribute his kites because of the very bad customer services rep a lot of places have, I hope one of the few Very Reputable places in Perth get them one day so I dont have to get them from elsewhere....

In the same boat as you man, flying a quiver of 3 current model screamers, there insane, but so is he. Its a real shame we can't get them over hear, having to order them from the states is a pain in the ass but theres always that gauruntee that his warrenty holds (I've had a dealing with him personally on this matter, with something that was very much my own fault).

Seeing what the man can do with the same kite is mind boggling, very much inspiring in the oldschool kiting ways.

Can i ask whats the wind range on the 9 like? compared to the 10 (im a featherweight as well if that helps) my unhookable range in boots is 13-18ish on the 10.

Im 80kg and use my 9m if the wind is consistant at 18-20 knots changing down from the 12m Screamer or 11m Renegade as I like riding powered up... Although rated at 14-38knots ... my sweet spot is about 18-30. Ive had it out in 40knot squalls but changing down to the 7m at 30 makes more sense as you can Tap full bar throw power and depower...

Theres a bunch of us over here that use the Epic kites and there pretty easy to spot - as long as your not looking at the water ha ha you know what i mean

He must have had a go pro up every orrifice of his body, board and kite. He told me he shot all of it himself.

Gonna try and demo a screamer in Lancelin this summer apparently the retailers hang their that time of year. Definetly on my wish list to try.

How much of this is the kite and how much is Dimetri's talent ? I reckon he could do this stuff with the majority of kites on the market these days.

Agreed but the word on the street from ordinary riders like is is they boost big and hang. Can't do that with every kite on the market.
