I fly a 14m 07 North rebel. I have just replaced the line that the stopper slides up and down and it has broken already. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it. I want to buy another north line for it to break after a few sessions again.

Apparently this is a design fault, fixed in the 08 bar set up.
My 07 bar has never had a functional stopper (bought second hand), which is not really a problem, only an issue if you unhook?
Your North shop should be able to help you on this.

Mine broke too. Have tried but havent been able to get the main line out of the cleat... Figured Id replace both when the main line starts to wear.

could because of line stretch, the heavier line can stretch more than the lighter one , duno , 08 has same line thickness. if replacing the smaller thiner line i would give it a little extra lenght than the main line to alow for that.

i htink it has to do with the tension of the lines. u can buy a kit from north which includes both the small stopper line and the depower line. when u feed them both through the cleat. make sure the skinny line has a bit more slack than the thick one. the depower line stretches more than the smaller one. if u dont, all the tension will be on the small line and its no wonder they snap

no idea if this is any help, if they are breaking due to rubbing against the bar, get some surf wax in there nice and deep, works for me.

From memory mine broke after quite a few lighter wind sessions in a row about 12 months after getting the kite. The black thing is well and truely stuck in the cleat. Not sure I could get it out without destroying it or the line so decided against it. Its a shame because the stopper was one of the attractive things about the rebel for me.
