hey anyone with cabrinha or last years liquid force guys i am just chasing some tips.
i just got a new liquid force spectrum ii kite which comes with the powerlock bar. same as cabrinha except it doesnt have recon, instead has a spinning leash.
anyways firstly i notice it has tree little cleats you can put in the powerlock for a different setting to the lock. i think it is the medium setting in it but after 2 sessions it falls out pretty easy. i am not sure if this is just practise or if i should put the deeper cleat in so it holds in tighter.
also i am finding it weird as the chickenloop doesnt go thru the bar, instead it goes through the offset cleat, and thru a large hole. it feels pretty sloppy. i noticed it feels different if you rotate the bar away or towards you.
i know it takes a while to get used to different setups but anyone got any tips for these bars?
i see a lot of the powerlock bars on the water so i assume they must be good once you get used to them.

I think it is just a matter of getting used to your new set up over a bit of time.I found the powerlock at first to be particularly gnarly when coming out of a trick - and accidently being powerlocked at sometimes fairly critical moments! But you soon learn to roll your wrist and it will flick out.The powerlock itself is fantastic for riding powered up-it does really add some grunt-you just need to be ready to roll your wrist and flick out during gusts..You can change those metal locks if its worn, for a more (or less if needed) aggresive lock.
