i want a one kite quiver and am thinking of a 9 or 10 m rebel 09.. a 9m rev 2 09...or 8 or 9 m f-one bandit dos....
i only ride in the surf
what do you guys reckon??....the other option is keep my sb 3 another year as there is nothing wrong with it

I reakon the best of the bunch is by far the REV 2.

I have flown all 3 09 kites
The Bandit is great, fast, but it is only good once you get speeed up and kite speed up. It turns fast and all that jazz. It was stable. And it has an amazing wind range.. a 9m bandit DOS would keep up with a 11m rev or the like

The North its great. lots of grunt, fast turning, easy re-launch, I loved this kite
It didnt stall as much as the old ones and the badit. Great unhooked and for boosting.

The Rev.. This kite still amazes me. Fast, low bar pressure, great unhooked, amazing boosting, Smooth, Stable

My 2 cents
1. Rev 2
2. North Rebel
3. Bandit DOS

All 3 of these kites were part of the KBM 09 kite test -
and they have their good points however the overall favourite kite of the testers was the Rev -

if you are 65 kg - and ride in the surf get a 9 - it is an amazing kite has a wide range - and has the sweetest turning speed for the surf -

the kBM review is in the next issue and is currently being printed - out very soon

Why not keep your good condition SB3, unless you feel like spending some money?

That way you can get a new 2010 model...

If you want the best wave kite then try the Naish cult, The rebel is good in the waves but the cult is better it drifts back perfectly for park and ride and turn like a gem for powered wave riding.

And for the amount of time i have been washed in by the surf the build quality is right up there with the best of them which is what you will need if you want to get in the surf.

Get either an 11, or a 9

depending on you wind range in your area.
Also weather you like to me more powered and less and weather you ride on a surfboard or twinny

They have lots of power and you can use them in lighter wind that you think because of their turning ability
