The rally for the 'RIGHT TO KITE' at Noosa Rivmth went very well.Council agreed to take all view's into consideration with a 'read between the lines' reference that if we can educate/self regulate covering a protocol of responsibility to all that use the river, the contiued use of the river for kiteing will be ensured....good onya to the people who signed partition's and/or showed up for the rally (council members, media and professional kite retailers included)big thank's to Matt n Bec,Asher,Mick and Rob P for there contribution's to date....ALL GOOD

Excellent work..

So have you self regulated and educated enough, if not how are you going to achieve this. Would probably be a good idea to keep the council informed of your activities, so they see a continued effort.

Will have to come and visit at some point.

Rooey, All you guys at Noosa have done and are doing great work. Well Done!. Matt did a great job as MC for the rally.

If anything, yesterday's rally highlighted that this affects all kiters and kite locations in Australia. With Council Representatives making references to input by State Government levels the issue grows beyond the right to kite at Noosa, and it would suggest that we will all face similar proposed restrictions eventually.

The educate part has to extend to non kiters as well. It is very easy for the public to assume that kite boarding is extreme and that kiters are basically vessels out of control on public water ways. Let the "powers that be" know that 1/ We can stop when required,(some less gracefully than others) 2/ We can turn and steer 3/ We have safety devices and 4/ Most of us are in control.

enough babble...once again well done....you have my support.
