Hey and don't forget the seaweed that has lice in it that makes you itch and you get a rash too.

Hei, guys, we've been really bad.
Stop doing this, it is no nice!
Kim, the sea will always have all kind of creatures. It is natural.
As long as you are not bothering them, they will not bother you, so go there, enjoy kitesurfing, and have a great time.

Cheers

OK Nonikkers, from the start I had you flagged as a pretty cool lady, I mean you kitesurf don't you, then you mention the ballet pants and now I have a mental picture and in that picture you are pretty damn hot. Now if you do kite at Port Headland after everyone has scared the sh1t out of you, you are definatley in my top 10 women of all time.

You will be fine and if not you will definately make the papers. I can see the headline "Lady Kitesurfer/ Ballerina stung by Stingray, Stone Fish and Marine Jellyfish bitten by Seasnake, Shark and Blue Ringed Octopus battering rams herself into casualty ward at Port Headland Hospital"

do you drink beer?

Don't worry about biteys, how much time are you going to spend in the water and not skimming across the top of it anyway?

what has happened?

it would definately have been more fun to go wih other kiters, then the chances of me being the one that gets atatcked would be reduced...
but never mind i just hope hope i live to tell the tale ... if it is going to be an arm or leg please let it be the left one!
lol

Not to much, just dislocated the left shoulder as a result of a freack loft (6 m above the beach), than comming down on my left side and all this in about 3 secs (no time to even touch the quick release).
as a result: two tendons snatched of the bone, I could not lift my arm, unless assisted by the other hand.
Last monday I had reconstructive surgery, and now I have to "let the nature do its job"
Two - three months recovery, but after than, I will be back

Cheers

Hey,

There is always windy there, and the wind has a daily pattern going around 240 deg over 18 20 hours, so you'l always fingd a good spot to kitesurf.
There should be some locals there.
So cheer up an hope.
I wish you good luck and good winds.

nonikkers.
If youre friends have a shack on the beach near the spill bank it's actually not too bad a spot.
Spent a day at a trucky mates place with a great view over the big wide bay and spill bank. (I think it was a bay. memory a little cloudy)
From what Ive seen it's the best spot in town. Not that we normally hang around P.H. any longer than it takes to stock up the supplies and fuel up.
Anyway Im sure you will have a great trip.

I heard a story just the other day about a professional fisherman who was bitten by a Blue Ring octopus. His shipmates knew what would happen next. Within minutes he had absolutely no ability to move his muscles or breath. They took it in turns to deliver mouth to mouth for a couple of hours until the boat got into harbour, not knowing whether he was conscious, alive still or going to make it. He was conscious the whole time and thinking to himself "keep going boys ... I'm still here ... just keep going".

I also heard the body can eventually metabolise the poison by itself obviously as long as the resus is continued.
