Hi Leo,

Im from Holland and i come over the 22st of june till the 23st of july....i wanna go up around that area too! i posted another article but i have no reactions...

Hi,

Im from The Netherlands. I'm already happy with the Oz winter in perth!!! This year i wanna go up on monkey mia (Shark Bay) Denham where choicekiteboarding is going (not going with em cuz i dont have that much $) i come over @ the 22st of june and go back @ the 23st of july. I think i will chill a bit in perth and than go up north for about two weeks.

There should be awesome flat shallow water spots around sharkbay and REALLY nice waves too. And if its not good enough...than you can go up to Gnaraloo? I haven't been there but the temp is around 21-29 and you just can surf without a wetsuit?

Distances:

Monkey Mia 850KM
Gnaraloo 1400KM

Good luck!

P.S. if someone got some advise about spots i really should go than im thankfull to know about that! i checked out around Denham and Useless Loop on Google and Google Earth and some info of other websites!

Cheers, Rens

In holland we are happy as long our kitelines dont freeze....i start in water of 6 degrees and air temp of 10 degrees than you need to use boots, 5/3 streamer, cap and gloves....so i'm pretty jelous about you all!

HELP!!! :P Cheers, Rens

Denham = perth +8 hrs
Exmouth = perth +15 hrs
Neither will disappoint - both the best.
Snorkelling is better at Exmouth.

Hi,

No Waves in Denham, but if you drive to the coast? i checked some satallite pics and it looks pretty sick on the west of wireless loop on the coast....looks like monsterwaves! But Gnaraloo is around Exmouth or not? Is ther something to see down Denham if you go snorkling? What other good reasons are there to choose for going to Exmouth. Im a student and i just wanna camp....maybe there are ppl that got some advise....needs to be CHEAP!

Cheers, Rens

Really is great kiting at either place.
Denham obviously way cheaper transit costs being about half the distance.
BUT
Exmouth has national parks camp sites down the whole length of the western side of the promontory - ie Ningaloo reef frontage for about 100ks. The park campsites are in the dunes right on the beach at most spots & you can stay there for just a couple of $'s a night. Pretty feral compared to modern van parks but they have toilets at most stops & fresh water at a bore towards the north end. It is everything you could ever want of a kitetrek & the snorkelling has to be as good as it gets anywhere in the world - fkn amazing - turtles & reef sharks(thats the cuddly type shark) everywhere + dolphins + manta rays + ??? well + everything tropical right at your doorstep.
Exmouth is unreal.
I'll email you a few websites when I have time. If you can afford to travel about 4000 kms return trip then my vote is definitely Exmouth.
But you will not be disappointed with Shark Bay - guarantee that too.
Gnarloo = about 1/2 way in between - expert level waveriders only.
