are you talking goldcoast shearwater between wavebreak and crab? I nearly got there. Looked like the wind came up from 2pm onward. Would have been good.

Shearwater is *always* gusty IMHO. The wind comes over the high treeline on the islands and it pretty swirly, but then the tide really runs thru which gives a gust/lull effect when you hit the channel. On a weekend it sounds like you're kiting on a highway with all the boats going thru there.. not a very peaceful spot!

I had my best session in years at brighton on friday avo, only got off work and hit the water after 4, stayed till sunset. It was perfect wind for my x2 18 & 122, I finally cracked the art of the huuuuuge boost, long glide, and feather soft powered landing. It's great to finally feel like you've made progress when you've been stuck at one level for too long.

Theres a wicked rider that rips on his R2 20 an R4 16 that iv seen at sheer and he always has a gr8 session,he does some huge boosts and rides way overpowered most times, but most of all he has always has a laugh an a smile for all. He once told me 'That any spot with any wind is good as long as you ride with your mates'.

Is he the guy with one arm that's shorter than the other?
Just tell him to watch out for the red marker, i hear those R2 20's are like a magnet to them.
