Pretty sure the east coast distributor gets another load soon so have a chat to your local dealer. They shouldn't be too far away now.

Cauncy is right - again.
KSS are agents for Shinn to SA WA & NT.
We have stock of all Dundees except the 133 - well we do have 1x133 but its mine & ur not getting it
All models & most sizes are available for demo.
That doesnt help much if you are in SA but we are considering doing a money back 'satisfaction' guarantee for those who cant get their hands on a demo.

Let us know how it goes. I plan on getting one from the UK for around $790, brand new. They must be doing runouts as they are a lot cheaper than other retailers.

And exactly how does that help. Cheaper right here in Oz with full backup.

PM details of where you can get that deal from and YES KSS will match it.
- delivered door to door - if thats the other deal.
- and including a freeby pressy compliments of KSS for your vigilance.

Offer will have to be as per our regular Australian distributor arrangements - or better.
But in any case $790 plus GST = $869. Thats $10 less than RRP here in Australia.
Anyone can cheat on GST from OS - As Australian businesses we have to pay it.

its a tough one for retailers here, as an os shop if they can be arsed will scrap 20% which is the vat in the uk, then if its under $1000 you dont pay the gst making it hard for the aussie retailer to compete, it isnt a dealer v dealer battle its a rule set by our governments, would i buy a board for 100 difference no , i do buy my kites from os ,is it a price thing no, hes a mate, and if you think they are going great guns think again hes just shut shop after 14yrs as he carnt make a living

With the amount of money I have spent supporting windsurfing/kiting retailers in Australia in the last 15 years I don't have to justify my decision. I do understand your point of view. However in my current financial position $50 bucks is a big difference. If either of my two reliable retailers, one whom has sold up, the other does not retail this brand could match this price I wouldn't consider the overseas option. But why do retailers of all goods, (not just kiting), in Australia up prices when our dollar is down but rarely drop if the dollar is strong. As for warranty that varies from brand to brand and I would not expect there to be any problems with the Shinn.

Dont blame the retailers .Its the Australian government import bull**** on all imports that push up the price. We live in ripoff central compared to the rest of the world.
Once you have you Shinn or anything gear you buy here
consider
the wind is free
the waves are free
the climate is for free
and the pleasure you get from this sport is also free

Just lost my North Select, (Slightly over-rated board IMO), and am buying a 132 or 134 Shinn Monk from Nigel at East Coast. Any idea which size is better for 80 kg rider in gusty tropical conditions?

with you on that one speedy, between the 2 sizes hardly any difference, the monk has big rocker and a big outline making it not the best lightwind but amazing edging ability, so between the 2 youll hardly notice the difference, shinn use the width ratio more than the length, im on the old 135 x 42 monk, the shinns are a very different board compared to the north range, if you like to ride underpowered look at another board, if you like to ride powered itll pay you back and more, whats your kite, wind strength, and ocean conditions ,and your style as the monk is imo an agressive freeriders kite

I always ride powered, using my rebel 11m till its consistently over 20 knots, like to go fast, edge hard and boost big. I sail in gusty conditions and weigh 80 kgs.
