Should i wait untill summer to start my lessons in good sunny good wing conditons or should i go now...
i am only 16 and small so if it is too gusty wont the big winds put me off or kill me lol (not a laughing matter) if i am not experianced enough

Hi K-harro,

If you can get out and practice safely winter is a great time to get all your basic skills up to scratch. Then when all those lovely, smooth summer winds come in you'll be learning back rolls and jumps and not still trying to stop the kite crashing the whole time! If you're nervous about wind strength start with a trainer. Then get a suitable size kite (instructors and shops can help you work this out) and go practise, preferably with an experienced kiter to keep an eye on you. At the end of the day if you still don't feel comfortable with it then leave it until summer, but done correctly winter isn't a complete waste of time.

Have fun,

Jess
