reading the information about it has left me with the belief that <16s will be restricted to 8knots and daylight driving only.
if you have any annoyances maybe we could get them out here.

I'm angry about this because me and some of my friends have licences that allow us to drive a boat yet under the new laws are privileges will be revoked. Ive done over 500hours driving and 18 of them have been at night so its safe to say that its not a risk to the public especially when you consider a person >17 who's never seen the water before can take a boat out to rotto yet experienced young drivers are not.

There's never any equality or just decisions when you're on the wrong side of an age barrier.

FOR EXAMPLE.
The yanks will give you a gun, and let you die/kill for them in exotic places, before they'll serve you a beer in your home town.

I was in our defence force before being old enough to drive or drink, and now that I am old enough to do both, they still wont let me do them together.

Put your case in writing and make a firm stand, you may be able to convince them to uphold your qualification. Especially if you can get the support of some notary people.

Ive had a commercial master five skippers ticket for the last 16 years. I now am told I have to do the tests to give me the qualifications to operate my private dingy. I do believe it is a good idea for some people that should not even be in a boat. I think they should allow 16yr olds to be able to do this coarse, if they are competent why not. look at the young guy who sailed solo around the world from Perth a few years ago he was only 16!

I'm not surprised... he'd be looking for challenges after a feat like that!
