does anyone know of a snowkiting equivilent to this forum? I'm heading over to NZ for the winter and after seeing these amazing snow kiting vids I'm really keen to find somewhere to try break my neck...

I think you're after a Bora - where the mountain air cools, sinks and accelarates though the lower valleys - happens late afternoon. I think??

I am pretty sure that a popular place on the South island is Snow Farm,

check this forum out - http://www.kiteforum.co.nz/
you'll be able to find someone on there who knows. Generally Wanaka is the place to go, there is a place called Snow Farm across the valley from Cardrona which is perfect for it.

Also, not sure when, but there is usually an event called "Wanakite" that happens in that area each year.
