We have a bus load going to the snowkiting area at Hotham to give it a go,
you should head over on your way to Falls

pump up
your favorit snow kite.

Word of warning for pump ups beware of cauliflower ice and granite .They love to eat leading edges. They also love to eat bridles

Also don't head into the back country alone (particularly if you are new to snow kiting )I have come across 2 examples in 2 weeks of people heading the back on their own.If something goes wrong you might die .We camped this past weekend and I thought i was going to die from the cold

Our group thought it might be a good idea to set up a register somewhere for people heading out

Also I'm sorry to sound like your mum nagging

Methinks this is the time of year when I am glad I have a mattress!!!

If a rock or ice bites my kite, I can fix it with tape. Beats walking back. Flies pretty good in the gusty, holey winds.

dodgey stuff. a doona is definitely the way to go and without starting another endless thread(fingers crossed) the auto-zenith thingey would come in handy when climbing over fences, adjusting bootstraps blah blah.

No Hijack .Been there, great kite but even as a dealer i would prefer one kite that does it all on snow water and land and isn't troubled by cauilflower ice and granite
