Hey, I'm going to study at Sunshine Coast University from jan to july. I'm just wondering if that area is a good place for wave surfing and kite surfing? How often is the wind strong enoug for kite, and the waves big enough for wave surf.

the answer is yes yes yes go for a drive you will soon see all the set ups point breaks rivermouths an open beaches

IMHO it is the best spot in the world! The waves arent as big as down south tho.

Sunny coast is world class. You can kite everywhere. The river mouths are sick and the beaches run forever........wish i studied up there.
