first day of holidays in w.a at leighton beach and i see 3 fellas looking very suss as i get closer i can see they are nicking stuff out of a car as soon as they saw me they off . it was a red toyota camary ( sv21) mid 90,s (lic) 7NB- ??? so keep an eye out for them . interesting first week and wheres all that great west aussie wind gone

They are at it already! Well they are never off it are they. Makes me sick that parking at the beach runs a high risk of becoming the thieves shopping mall. This is a council issue! Safety and Security at our local beaches. Even if you had a warden or beach patrol car looping the strip. Pure scum bags these guys looking forward to catching up with some of them at Woodies.

we need batman... the vigilante, not the pasty, squinty eyed hairy palmed dribbling little self abuser who sits in his room all day surrounded by crusty sport socks and empty bottles of hand lotion, who disturbingly stares at all the nieghbourhood womanfolk as he commites their every body movement to memory, before rushing back to his bat cave and drawing the curtains...

Unfortunately this same issue crops up year after year after year.

I remember it being a hot topic several years back and we petitioned the Fremantle council as well as the local state parlimentary member Jim McGinty who referred the matter to the Fremantle Police.

I personaly received a letter from the local police sergeant who advised that they will endeveour to patrol the area more regularly. He also paraphrased the totally lame advertising slogan of "look, lock, leave".

WTF is that all about? It's exactly what everyone does and then after you've left the theives come along and help themselves. Arrrrggggggggggg.....

What is about WA or Perth metro beaches that attract scum.

Beaches on the East coast don’t seem to suffer the same thieving low life’s. I think there was an incident in Qld a couple of months ago.

What ever policy is used in the other states we should adopt in WA.

we've got plenny a scum here !I have had my car broken into twice ,my whole car was stolen from the beach and torched ,a visitor had his window smashed and stuffed pinched and caught him in the act and then waited 6 hrs for the cops to come (the station is 500m from the beach ) a mate had his window smashed and stuff taken .Nah your not the only ones .
