Gday Munter.Ive made quite a few boards using vacum.generally there will be a number of suppliers in every main city. With the bagging plastic,u can buy it off a roll from bunnings,it`s quite cheap.the stuff i use is reasonably thick, and u can use the same piece for about three boards. The only way i have had real sucess with sealing the bag to the table is with the proper double side sealing tape(fiberglass shop).More like a really tacky putty.I stick this to the table and leave the top protective cover on until i`m bagging.Comes in rolls. When ready fpr bagging, take off the the top cover and stick plastick straight to it.when bagging is finished if you rip the plastic off real fast usually the plastic will release from the sealing stuff.Put the cover back on the sticky stuff so it keeps it tack, and u can use it for about 5-10 boards.maybe more if you look after it.breather cloth,u can use batting material(i think they use it inside jackets) or i prefer a cotton material kind of looks like flanell, thinner than the batting material(this stuff can be bought from your local dress makers shop)u do get some funny looks when you buy the stuff covered in dust and resin. This stuff also depends on the viscosity of your resin.i found the batting material to let to much resin out when i swapped to a thin resin, thats why i went to the flannel stuff.its all experimentation.u pribably will have more sucess also with perferated plastic,u can buy this from the fiber glass shop.Hope this helps. If you want more boardmaking info do a search on yahoo.ther`s a really good forum where people swap ideas.
