put the kite in the 11 oclock position, get some speed and be cutting so the lines are tensioned, then , slide the board downwind, but stay where you are, so your bum goes closer to the water, and when your legs are nearley full outstreached, cut megga upwind, like 40 degrees higher than you can point, as the board goes under, you should be getting higher, ie, you were laying down, noe the boards flying under you so you should be at least standing up, cut the board up swiftly, in a "shredding" move untill it pops out of the water, behind you. that should start you off, it's all about keeping the lines tensioned, not makingthe kite lift you out of the water

Maybe you should try an instructional dvd or video I have been watching kiteboarding 101 and finding it really good. They go through everthing step by step in a simple easy to understand format. The dvd is done by Shannon Best who was Australias best wakeboarder. Check it out.
