Hey guys I really wanna listen to music while I kite and I saw a guy at woodies with a waterproof case. Anyway after talking with him he said he got the case from the net for about 70 to 80 bucks which came with the arm band and waterproof headphones and of course the case. I have been looking at the h20 ones on their website and I think they are like 180 with everything. If anyone has any recommendations or any reviews on ones they have or had that would be great.

You can probably get a liquid force waterproof mp3 player for cheaper. Either way, I'd try test it first, I have one for swimming and its not as good for kiting as it may seem. Its distracting and you can't hear what's happening around you.

That sounds dangerous, unless you're absolutely sure you're the only person on the water.

What's wrong with the sound of the wind and the water rushing by; they're music to my ears - or are you getting so bored with kiting, you need something to take your mind off it? [}:)]

Hi Undagekiter
I have the H2O Ipod Waterhousings for sale. They are suitable for the Ipod mini and Ipod Gen4. The biggest advantage H2O housings have over wet bags is the impact resistance, being a solid casing they provide superior impact restance and provide waterproofing up to 3m (10feet). Pricing $50 + postage ( gives you waterproof housing, waterproof earphones) I also have neprene arm band or waist band. email [email protected]
Cheers
Tony

have a look at the increasing evidence that using an ipod whilst cycling, jogging etc decreases your awareness of your surroundings, endangering the listener and others. i'd urge you to reconsider.

may I suggest you just wasted $200......
I used one called an Otterbox ( solid case ) which was for the iPod with the H2O headphones..... the main problem is the SOUND the headphones are designed to be used whilst actually submerged.....put them on and swim under water THE SOUND IS AWESOME come to the surface and the sound becomes woeful very very tinny... the water creates a natural bass boost and the headphones are designed with this in mind.... so when i was kiting wearing the thing became a pain in the a$$ . you will notice a reduced awareness and that can be a bit disorienting possible dangerous as well
...but for me it was the sound quality when not submerged.....its just sh1thouse

Whilst listening to music whilst kitesurfing may be slightly distracting, it does make it a more enjoyable experience.

I bought a splashpack mp3 case with headphones for $55 plus shipping and it is great. I found it online at www.splashpack.com.au

Why would you bother with a waterproof case for your ipod when you can take a boombox out on the water:

Alternatively just take some frinds to talk to:

Cup of coffee would be cheaper, and also a cup of coffee wont wrap around ur neck and drown you when ****e hits the fan, situational awareness is more important!, if not to you at least to others!
