Wow, Have just upgraded my very tired wave gear, Have bought at full price (which for me is rare!!!) some of the best kite equipment I have used in nearly fifteen years of kiting.
Got a 5 foot 10 Delta Amp custom board ,bamboo, spray, pinstriping all the fruit, from the moment I got on, it was amazing, and after about 10 sails in all conditions it cant be faulted, Jumped on a new production board on the weekend and had to get straight off it, thats how big the difference was.
As for kites, 2013 Ozone Reo, 6 and 8, Amazing, I've read all the reviews, but didnt really believe them. And then tried them, they are exactly what Ive been looking for in a surf kite, so easy to use, responsive, enough power when you need it and good depower, an absolute dream to use in the waves.
Anyway stoked with my new gear.
Note: This is not an ad, just a happy customer!

Have to agree with amac have been riding Martys boards for 13 years now Started on mutant directional to surf twin tips always trying to find that perfect board to accommodate the kite and wave (two movements in one) As being a friend of Martys and always trusting his judgement, I've demo so many of his boards for him for a bit of rrd. Once again he said try this one ...and to be honest i really loved the board I was on ,I was a bit negative again on testing another board and waisting a season, but...... He HAS NAILED IT ......... my god I could not believe how good this board is I'm not pimping him in any way ,But they guy has been shaping boards for over 40 years ....Invented the Channel bottom and Now has Come out With This AMP
The boards construction has a lot to do with it Traditionally shaped ,with bamboo deck gives it that super smooth feeling through chop or not. I could Garrentee If you Jumped On this board your skill level Jumps up instant 25 % and thats being generous ,To the knockers out there who may think this is crap try one before you comment....because I've never in the 13 years of wave kiting ever heard anyone come in after a demo and order one saying Ive gotta Have That ...Congats Marty You've nailed This One ,I just hope every rides one ,and they would soon realise what a custum board can do to your level of riding than a production board does
WELL DONE... AND A BIG THANK YOU ...bring on the season

I love the Reo's the other day it was up to 39 knots and my 8 was sick riding unstrapped and frothing on some of the longest rights I've ever ridden on the south coast. My new dyna bar (rope tweak spreader bar) set up made life out there easy..
i'm frothing on my new 2013 gear too yeeeooww!!

Hey Munga, My Delta amp is 5' 10 " long, 17 .5 inches wide and just under 2 inches thick. swallow tail, bamboo deck construction. Its got some tricky concave and rail stuff going on! Which Marty from Delta Design can fill you in on, will attach photo later.
Cheers

Hi Munga,

if you are looking for a custom board its also worth talking to Dave at Katana in Osborne Park.

Not sure if you saw this thread, has some pics of a board I got from him and also has pics of a board that Marty at Delta made for Slack
