Hey i'm looking to get into kiteboarding this season but will probably buy a second-hand kite off the "buy and sell" section... What is a good size kite for all-round conditions in perth?
I weigh 70-75 kgs
I'm 5'10" (around 1.8 metres)

It depends of a few different things, weight, board size, skill level etc. Best bet is to have some lessons then ask your instructor for some advice.

Cheers

12mtr would be a good start. It's a bit like asking how "long is a bit of string" depends on how heavy you weight, waves or flat water and whether your a man or a mouse! C = Man & Bow = Mouse.

Cheers Grant.

clearly he just stated his weight and height for people with reading disabilities!!!

im 76 - 78 kg and i ride a 9m SLE in summer most of the time so i think anything between 11 and 9 m should be good, try find a 10m sle for a good range, C kites arent the best kites to learn on.

Definitly go take some lessons at a IKO certified school and ask them for advice aswell.

depends on how many days you want to kite for.

i.e. if you want to kite everyday there is wind range is approx 8knot-37knots then you won't be able to do it on one kite.

If you don't mind missing some days the a 9m or 10m bow/sle will do and you could always buy more boards.

OR:

Buy one kite for the surf/high winds and one kite for flat water/lighter winds.

I have two bow/sle kites for sale, an 8.5m and a 12m, both of which would do for most conditions, both of course would be perfect.

If for some reason you don't buy mine then look for similar quality/year of kites in a size that suits you. Lessons always help as well.
