what kite sizes and brand of kites do most people have?
I have a 16.5 cabrinha black tip (2001 model) a 11m monkey (2004) and a 7.5 cabrinha black tip (2001 model). My fav kite is the 11m monkey it turns a lot quicker than my black tips and is allot more stable. I wanted to get a new kite. Should i go another monkey or is it worth trying something diffrent? and what size i was thinking something about 18m-20m for the light wind days. monkey make a 28m would that be a good light wind kite?

go all out and buy a 12m peter lynn cant go wrong there haha

please forgive my "mortalness", but you don't need to get a light wind kite. You just need to make it blow hard enough for you 11m.

holy 28m! You'd need a craine to launch it nearly lol! Your 16.5 should do you, depending on your weight, board size, and expertieze, get you out in 14-16/17 knots... If you need a larger kite, just go 20m so you don't have to sine it in 14 knots, just cruize instead etc. Or get a specific light wind kite like the Cabrinha contra and Slingy Machine (brought up in topic in teh gear review section and here) Ask a mate you kite with to have a go at another kite brand, because something that suits me, might not suit you etc; kites are very individual to the person...

dude dont bother gettn a monkeykite i used to ride them and i recently switched over to slingshots and they are soo much easier to use. monkeykites work but any 05/06 kite by one of the major brands will be ****loads better. if your not prepared to fork out to much get a 2nd hand 05 slingy or liquid force kite and your riding will improve dramatically!!
