the best depower comes from a kite you put down BEFORE you need to know how much it can depower...

the best depower tends to come either from either the bow and family series, using a back line pulley to double the travel of the back of the kite when powering / depowering, the adjustable 5th line series where you can shorten the 5th line via pulley or shackle whilst your riding to depower and continue riding, and theres the 5th/bridle c kites (f-one) tribal, which has no back line pulleys and is a c kite, but uses the attatchment points to pivit the kite foreward and give massive depower when compared to a conventional 4 line kite.

if your riding a year or two old kite you will find big improvements with all these different kites versus the older models, they all ride excellently. It's a choice of feel and "extra " features really that you need to look at

Ones that you are not hooked into and you may let it go once it gets too windy, have pappa or friend to retrieve the kite for you.

100% depower

im new, so my opinion is extremely limited.. however i tried a 9m best waroo yesterday, they are an amazing kite- unreal depower compared to C kites ive flown.
Was a bit weird at first as it has a really unique "loose" feel to the kite.
I didnt think they had hardly any bar pressure, although i was only on it for 10mins. the bar felt really light.
Could easily walk/jog up the beach with the kite because it had very minimal strain on the lines (again due to the depower abilities). Ie. the waist harness wasnt tring to pull around to one side.

IMHO you have to demo some flat/bow kites..they eliminate/minimize alot of the problems and annoyances with flying conventional C's..

They are just such a damn FUN kite.

by "loose", i do not mean Slow.. They are a very responsive kite.
I mean loose because the bar slides very easily up the lines, it has minimal strain on the lines when the bar is out- so in general it has a "loose" feeling..
hope that clears up any ambiguities
