I need to buy a kite for the 20-30 knots range(I'm thinking 8-9m)I weigh 80 kg. The problem is that I am broke so I can only afford about $500. I am looking for an all rounder. I have seen 9m omega Hd's and 07 waroos for about this price. I currently ride a 12m switchblade 3 and like it alot. Obviously a switchblade 2 8m would be Ideal, but I cant find any in this price range.

So my Question is which kite should I go for?. Also what is the main difference between the omega in 1:1 and the swictchblade 2?

Any other suggestions?

SB3 = wakestyle.....steered toward a more advanced kite, still producing model, more $$
Omega= freeride.....steered toward a learners kite more depower, not producing model (replacement parts not sure if convert is same same?), Less $$

Given the type of kite you already ride mate I don't really think the omega would be
for you, better to keep same quiver and look out for a sb3 going cheap damaged , dunno, do some overtime
