"I still don't see any real men owning up here"

Now that is a very interesting comment...

I'd be curious to get educated on what a "real man" is!
Always thought I could judge of one's manhood by checking what was in the boardie rather than by the boardie's colour....
Don't think I ever got fooled....
May be that people fearing pink have a similar problem to guys driving expensive (but small) sport cars...

Oops...

Em needs to trip over to Woodies, crack a (black can of cola and bourbon flavour), and line up all the guys for a Real Man Check.

Then will the place be the last haven of non pink kites?

and Forbsy, I'm not picking on the way you hold your wrist.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Funnily enough, I'm not the least bit concerned how anyone holds their wrist but obviously some people have some serious issues about it.
Time for theraphy ?
You might have to travel into Melbourne, I don't think they have those sort of facilities at the golden rock.

Hey Tony,
Over the Xmas break, I think it was a toss up if you or my good self should of had pink in our kites at Torquay. They were in the water that often the pink would of stood as a warning for all the other kiters to keep clear,Kooking in progress.lol.

Hay Ral Inn when are you come back to Sydney again. We really want to see how much kite a real man can hold in 30+ knots of wind.

We are also very keen to see that awesome trick of yours. The back landing Gaily to tongue bite with a few cracked ribs.

Maybe this time though you can stay out for more than 2 tacks and not need Mortiz to come and rescue you

I'm with Em on this....What qualifies a man as a "real man" anyway?

A man wearing pink or riding a pink kite........to me it's a sign that they are comfortable with themselves and that's the kind of person I think is more attractive unlike those who think it's girly!

P = for a person who has Personality
I = someone who has the mental Intelligence to recognise colour doesn't matter
N = No Nonsense - who cares what other people think!
K = Kooky and fun......the core ingrediants for most kiters.

It's "C" Eddy, lock in "C", "Real Abnormal".

Go to the front of EM's lineup.

Highasakite, funnily enough my kite is Pink free. and the last decent kite I had was back then Dec2. although I can remember the westerners
doing their own thing down in the dumps of Fisho's.

IanR, I bet you don't see such extreme kiting from Pink kiters. Once again thanks to Moritz for taking my board back, and his effort to help. Also to the windsurfer who also offered assistance.
How come the Big Air comp wasn't on that day?

Get to the point: what's your problem with pink kites???
You obviously don't owe one so why do you care about what other people are flying?

Just for info, importers don't have any decision power on the kites colour they're getting. By consequence, retailers don't either. Which leads us to the very logical fact that customers haven't many options: if they like the kite, they buy it, whether the kite has "cool colours" or not (can you list them please, so we all know how to be "in"?).
You should eventually consider that someone who ends up with a pink kite liked the kite enough not to give a damn about the colour...

This topic is perfectly gay any way!
(would be interesting to make a psychological analysis on the issue hidden behind the pink phobia...but none of us has time for this!).

You don't like pink, fair enough: don't fly a pink kite. Very simple.
But ride and let ride...

Make sure you do let me know the day you have your lineup ready tho!!!!

At the end of the day, who gives a damn what colour kite anyone is riding anyway ? The whole purpose is to get out there and have fun. Isn't that what this sport is all about ?
Pink, Orange, Green, Red, Yellow, they're all just colours and as said, sometimes riders are more concerned about the quality of the kite rather than its colour.
Hey if you get an awesome ride out of it and it works, wouldn't you buy it ? Or would you be more concerned about what someone else might think just because it happened to be Pink ?
Small people with small minds with probably small...ummm....bzzzz, shouldn't get consideration.
Kudos to those who are prepared to brave the odds cos the small man with the small mind should remain exactly where he belongs.
Under a rock.

I have a pink kite because pink kites boost higher, point upwind better, relaunch quick, cover a bigger wind range and have better resale value......but I still don't seem to score any chicks

Stick a playboy iron-on on. That should do the trick.
Would help your chances if your kite lost a few pounds as well.

This is incredableisticalydochus.

A simple bit of goading to get some Pink kiters to bite.

the up side is that at this moment in Perth, a pile of kiters are disconnecting their spam filters in order to get onto that enlargement site, in preparation for EM's arrival.

So in all these replies only a couple have put their hands up. The rest have what? been offended for having a Pink kite? Come to the social rescue of Pink kiters?

I could have done with a simple answer back like " yea I fly a pink kite, so stick it up ya ...."

Hang on I think I did get one of those

PR needs to stop hanging it on his Shoulder

I think the Woodies crew should do a practice lineup this weekend.
and post the Picture, so Em can see if the trip will be worthwhile.

Those of you trying to be as impressive as PR by shoving a pump in their boardies, need to be aware that not only will we be able to tell it's a pump.

We will also know where the deflate opening is positioned.[}:)]

I suggest those of you with pink kites use those down the Boardies.

Hope they are at least 13m's

There's no use having a turbo charged or blown v8 donk down the boardies if you dont know how to drive it.Personally, I'm more in the stock v8 clan, might not be turbo charged, but I know how to drive.

Hmmmm, it's been in the garage a while though, have to take for a thrash on the weekend I think.

I think the,"pink kite thing" might be Tony comming out of the closet. Before pink, it was yellow was'nt it Tone. I do have the pictures, and yes, it was a Cabrinha of all things.

My orange Naish Shockwave magically changes to pink when flying in the sun :)

Bought a 07 Pink Nobile 555! Having lost my sea green Underground flx in the ocean - I was after the loudest brightest board I coould find.

So far it is working like a charm :)

BTW - much smoother and holds an edge better than the 07 Underground...
