I'm heading next week to Sydney from France for 6 weeks of work which will leave me with 4 w-e which I would like to fill with kitesurf.
According to what I read, summer is a good time to kitesurf in sydney (
www.kiteboardingnsw.org.au/weather/). And looks like the place to be is botany bay (Kogarah
www.kiteboardingnsw.org.au/locations/). By looking at the current windguru conditions, I suspect packing a 10m and a 12m wing would be the best combo for me (~70kg rider with 1 year XP).
Also, I know around here in summer we get so called "thermal winds" (not sure if that's the exact therm in english) when the sun sets down and the water temperature is warmer than the earth. Such winds are rarely forecasted on windguru but are pretty commmon on warm days and make awesome end of day sessions, do you have the same thing in NSW?
As I have never kite boarded in the area, I was kind of looking for a confirmation of my selection and/or any additional information from local riders that could be of interest to me.
Thanks in advance, cheers.
