Hi All,

I hope everyone is good.

I am currently travelling down the East coast and will be arriving in Byron Bay tomorrow.

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any good spots, ideally out of the surf if possible.

Any help much appreciated.

Happy Kiting

If you use the search function there's 5 or so topics on the subject.

Otherwise hit up the NSW Kiteboard Assoc site www.nswkba.com.au there's a google map showing kite locations in Byron.

If your not sure talk to the locals when you get there as I gather they've had issues in the past about people kiting in the swiming areas and there are a couple of restriction zones.

Thanks, will check out the web-sites.

I have been kiting the last 3 days at the Northern end of Clarke's beach in strong nice conditions with a great group of people so if anyone is this way could be a good place to try.

Cheers

Sorry - have been told today that kitesurfing has been banned in Byron and you run a risk of a fine froim the rangers!! Have been advised to go to Lennox Head about 17km away

Hey mate just drove up today - can one of the locals verify this? What happened to kiting north of the ship wreck?

On a side note what happened to all the sand between clarks and the pass? Where'd it all go?
