Hey All,
I'm heading over to Sydney for NYs and then cruising up to Byron. Plan is first couple weeks of Jan. Only problem is kites vs surf boards, I can't bring all my gear! So should I bring kites, if so what are the winds to expect around that time of year? I have an 11, 9, & 6. Gut feeling is the 11 and 9. I ride surfboards and am 80kg.
Also any tips on some nice wave spots would be appreciated! (email me :-) )

im also interested in some nice spots because ill go up the whole eastcoast as well :)
starting the 15. of january. so let me know if you found some nice spots on your way to byron
