Hi Guys,
After Xmas I'm planning on heading up north for 11 days kiting at good spots up to Sunshine Coast where I can spend a couple of days doing the downwinders and bussing back up to the starting point.
Do you have any ideas on the good spots to go kiting on the way up? The NSW kite locations map peters out one you get further away from Newcastle.
Some waves need to be thrown into the mix, as I kite the waves mostly. (but I am not looking to kill my self to nothing to savage). Anywhere with less holidays crowds and camping (unpowered preferably) scores bonus points.
This is my list so far, and below it is a link to the map I have drawn up.
1 Hawks Nest SE N NE
2,3,4 OLD BAR
5 Flat top rock (Coffs)
6 Lenox Head NE or Flat Rock
7,8,9 Sunshine coast
10 South west rocks
11 Sydney
(South West Rocks is only done on way back)

Hey, when are you going?
I'm doing the same trip (maybe not as far as Sunny though, might only go to Byron) starting jan 2nd.
Add Sandbar to the list, close to Seal rocks.

Ill be heading out on Sunday the 27, So ill be a bit ahead of you. Thanks for the sane bar spot, looks good!
( I may also get a bit tired of driving and choose to stay well south of Brisy)

Awesome mate. Might see you out there. If you find any good spots, especially north of Old bar (that part up to Qld border is blank for me in terms of kite spots) post an update or send me a PM. Cheers!
