I'll be staying in Lake Conjola from 27th October. I hear there has been recent dredging of the lake. Anyone know what the tidal inlet is like as far as access by foot is concerned to Green Island?

From the last caravan park (council park), its a 10 min walk. Green island is a bit limited for kiting conditions. Bendalong gives much more scope for wind directions. But a longish drive from lake conjola. Kiting on the lake is limited due to the hogh sand dunes at the beach & trees around the lake.

Thanks, but I just need to know if the inlet is too deep to walk across at the moment.

Just in case you were all wondering. We had a great 5 days at Green Island. NE'er blew 3 days and I had some really nice waves all to myself. You can wade across the the inlet on lowish tides but launching from the south side is ok as long as you get out fast. Bring on summer.

Sorry Salty, no photos of any worth. Waves were small and smooth in the cross off-shore NE'er. Best on the mid to low tide. The waves stand up with long walls and you get a fast run down the line as you drift your kite. Not too challenging but good fun never the less.
