The family are finding the joys of kiting so I need some family friendly flat water this weekend (early Oct). I hear Old Bar is out of water at low tide these days.
Looking between Qld border to as far south as Newcastle.
Can anyone recommend locations around Forster area?

pelican island at port Macquarie is alright
You need a boat to get there though
And it needs to be high tide
