Looking forward to see you at the beach, Anna

Hey there und schoenen Guten Tag

Just started Kitesurfing after a loong break from watersports and tested Botany Bay the other weekend. Good spot, a little choppy but always windy.

Hope to see you around.

There's nothing like a new/cute foreign girl to bring out the "first time posters" jumping at the chance to "help out"!!

Ahah this is sooo true!

By the way, I have my last week off in Sydney from dec. 13 til dec, 20 so I'll be pretty keen to find kitesurf buddies during that week! Hope it will be windy and sunny as I'm then going back to the French-cold-rainy-crappy winter

Cheers'

Don't kite at Bondi!

Hi there!

Concerning Bondi and the fact that you all say "Don't kite at Bondi", I can fully understand it when the beach is packed with people and I also think it is the best way for us to get banned from kitespots, so I totally approve it in that case.

However, a day like yesterday, there was nobody on the beach, really tough conditions and only experienced kitesurfers could go out. We were about 6, and as soon as you know what are your limits, and that it is not a day to try high jumps close to the shore, I don't see where is the problem

So indeed, there are buildings, but if you just want to give a ride after 6.30pm, for an hour or so, with no danger for people on the beach (as there were very few runners), I would just like to have a bit more explanations for not kiting there in that cas...

Don't want to start a debate or anything, just want to understand the reasons (when there is no one on the beach).

Thanks'

Greg

I know who 4 of you were and you are all from overseas.
Have some respect and don't kite where it's not allowed.
What the hell is wrong with you?
It's your own fault that you have chosen to live/stay close to the worst beach on the east coast for surfing, kitesurfing, crowds, rubbish, and concrete structures.
If I see you down there again I will cut your lines and punch the hell out of you.

Pretty simple really, as far as I know, it's been banned by the council. You could have your gear confiscated if caught.

Ignore one ban and the council will start to crack down and impose bans on other beaches.

@Trant,

Thanks for the answer. At least it makes more sense now
Didn't know it was banned by the council so to avoid kite banned on other beaches, I won't kite there anymote.

See you on other spots then.

Cheers'
