Rookie mistake by me!!

I have been using seabreeze for years to buy and sell windsurfing gear and never once was I nervous that an interaction with a seller was a scam. Even this one seemed fine as he emailed me the photos, discussed the condition, asked me if I could come to pick it up and that's when I asked him if he could send it to BNE which he agreed.

My biggest mistake was I decided to buy a kite (don't own one) on a whim as there has been bugger all wind in BNE for windsurfing. I knew that I wanted a 12m switchblade (for the 10-15 knott range). I jumped onto SB and searched for a 12m Switchblade and low and behold this one jumped off the page at me. I did not research it enough. Just thought - bang meant to be. So I bought it. If I had of looked closer I would have seen the price was way to cheap to be true.

The only good is it is a great lesson for my kids!!

I have spoken with my bank who are chasing it and his bank who couldn't do anything for me.

Have reported to Aust Cyber Security - only $500 so not expecting much to come of that.

Will rack this up to a rookie mistake
