I've been looking through the scheduled kiting events for Aus. - I can't see any for NSW. Events such as Santa run, kite across the bay, etc. is this something that has been tried before and failed, too early in the season,etc?

Hey FreewaY yes we tend to announce events on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/KiteboardingNSW/ and the SUCK one as well ( www.facebook.com/groups/sydneyunicrazykiters/ ) because it allows for faster communication with everyone both-ways. This is especially useful since in NSW the wind is not so reliable and we often have to change location or date at the last minute.

But we're also very well aware that not everyone is on Facebook and that a consolidated calendar of all events would be very handy, we're working on that through our new website www.kiteboardingnsw.org.au and on SeaBreeze too.

For kite racing events have a look at the Sydney Kite Racing Collective group https://www.facebook.com/groups/261638400596610/, they're running a series throughout the summer.
