fanatic02 said..you clowns should really stay downwind of us if on opposite tack , to many of you guys get bent out of control , if you are down wind ,you can get rag dolled as far as you like without taking us with you !!!!!!

No... Us clowns would normally stay at least 25M (line length) away from you when you are downwind of us on opposite tack. Doesn't matter what type of sailing you do. Same goes. Unfortunately it can't always happen like this like when there's not enough space due to overcrowding or otherwise. When this happens all Sailors need to use common sense and respect the fact that we all have the right to use the waterway.
I take it you see us drop the kite in the water when we crash etc and are paranoid that we'll drop the kite on a windsurfer downwind of us. Well that's not the case. It doesn't matter whether you're another kiter or windsurfer or boat, we will not try anything that may cause us to crash the kite unless there is at least a lines length between us and the other water users.
Unfortunately like most sports there are a small minority who are reckless and do not obey the rules. Don't judge our sport by this minority. It goes both ways. I've seen a few windsurfers being reckless too but for the most part they use common sense and share the water without problems like most of us.
