We have posted some new location guides for the Northern Beaches and Botany Areas of Sydney on the NSWKBA website home page www.nswkba.com.au have a look at them and let me know what you think. They are PDFs, feel free to download them and give them out to newbies on the beach, as they have lots of good info on them.

Hi Im Diego from Chile, I've been here for the last 2 months riding in the northen beaches, usually in Narraben but the wind had never been very constant. I;m planing a journey to Perth, I heard there the wind is perfect, Who can tell about some goods spots in PErth at this time of the year..
Thanks

Hi Diego,

Check out the WAKSA forum, their website has got fantastic information about the kiting locations around Perth. You should get some good wind over there, it has been crap on the Northern Beaches since Christmas!

Cheers

Hi Dude, I'm coming across the ditch for a few days in March. Staying in central Sydney. Hoping to catch a bit of water time. Where do you recommend as best proximity to central Sydney given that I dont want to drive 2 hours to kite. Your maps are useful but it seems most beaches are off limits on the Northern side of town??
Cheers for some info.

Hi Slyde,

You would be best heading to Botany Bay as it is only 25mins from the central city, take the eastern distributor towards the airport then follow the signs to rockdale, you will see the bay just past the airport. Find Presidents Ave on www.whereis.com.au anywhere south of there is good for a NE.

Hope the wind behaves for you, it isn't very reliable at the moment, and South side is a lot windier than North.

Should be okay with a shortie in March, water temp should be around 20C

Botany is normally a bit warmer as well as it is shallow and warms in the sun, that is why the bull sharks like it!
