Hey everyone! I am heading over to Sydney for April! It goes without saying I will be packing my kites and board but wondered what sizes to bring to save on cost! So if anyone could give me info on April wind conditions that would be awesome!

Take it easy
Many thanks
Chris

The last month hasnt been so good when it comes to wind, and i dont think it gets better in april if you look at the stats. I would bring your biggest kite. Definitely less wind than in Holland and I expect less than in the UK too.

Calling people moron when they ask for simple advise is bad form. Keep it to yourself.

Hey lammey,
if there is wind a 9 or 12 will be fine. Assuming that you do not want to ride a 16 :) Wind is supposed to go down, but you can be lucky

This gives historical wind readings for Australia
reg.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/wind/selection_map.shtml

From my experience you should be able to kite 20-50% of the time on a 12m, but a 8m would be good if a southerly comes through. Be prepared to travel a bit as the directions mean you have to go to a few different beaches.

You will only need a shortie wetsuit or a thin steamer
