I'm an exchange student from Norway.

I have been in the Illawarra/Wollongong region for a month now, but there's very rarely enough wind to get the kite on the water. I've been out only two times, simply because there haven't been conditions for any more. I'm just wondering; is this normal, or has this month just been unusually low on wind? Is it seasonal winds in the area, and will it blow more often as the summer get closer?

What also frustrates me is the BOM forecast. Often it says 30+ kmh winds (which is what I need) but it's almost never correct... Arghhh

Hey there Truls, im pretty sure ive seen ya down the beach a couple of times over last month in noreasters.These Noreasters (seabreeze ) we have had lately are very rare at this time of year,usually its cranking westerlies.Noreasters should progressively get stronger towards summer peaking Dec and Jan.Looking good this year for some good seabreezes.
