Hey Pirrad. I also started on a 12m Boxer. I then bought a 12m helix which I was happy with, until I tried a Bandit Dos. I had a few ongoing hassles with broken bridles and cheap pulleys with the naish. The F-One's build quality is much better, they're fairly bullet proof. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't buy the helix, I was happy with it, I'm sure you would be too after the boxer. It's just that the Bandits have heaps more grunt and speed but still have excellent depower so their wind range is larger, IMO. Also, when you get the chance, pick up a smaller board. 145 would have been ideal to learn on, but at 90kg you could easily drop to a 133-136 size range and you'll find progression to tricks easier. Keep the 145 for those light wind days though

The 09 Helix was renowned as being a bit of a "handful", of a kite if I remember correctly. You'll certainly find it has different characteristics to your Boxer. It certainly wasn't known for it's novice-friendly characteristics- pretty powerful and fast turning.

I've never flown one mind, and a novice mate of mine bought a 6m 09 Helix back in Cape Town and he didn't have any problems with it (except when it was 35kts and was threatening to pull his arms off LOL)

I think the later Cults (2010), took a bit of the Helix's raw power and the previous Cults useability to make something somewhere in between?
