I brought a 10m Ozone Reo a couple of weeks ago.
The first 4 times i used it the chicken loop unhooked while body dragging to board when it happens thats the end of my session,I have friend who also brought a Reo and when he launched today as the kite approached 12 the chicken loop came off.
Its not the emerg release must be something with the donkey dick.
I was learning with a 09 REV 2 for the first month and the chicken loop never did this.I always make sure the donkey dick is below chicken loop and is secure before launching. Anyone got any ideas on preventing this.
Thanks

Mine popped off this week, after a launch, (Reo), aswell. I have found that if the donkey is a little long for the spreader bar and hook then it tends to push a bit against your body, and pop due to it being pushed. This happened also frequntly with one of my chicken loops for one of my switchblades as well. The harness i am using is a mystics and also have a dakine, it only happens on my mystics, as it has a shorter hook.

I had this happen quite a few times with a mystic warior harness so I stated keeping an eye on it. I found that when rotating the kite around in turns and going from toe to heel side the chicken loop would just work its way down the hook and bend out the donky dick and release. Just not enough hook in the hook. Took the advice offered in another thread and bent the hook a little more in a vice. No prob since. Good idea to make sure the safety release still operates smoothly.

Not sure on what the donkey dick is made of on the Reo's but the Core ESP bar has the same problem, on advice found in an old thread on Seabreeze I extended and stiffened it with some plastic tubing from the hardware store. It hasn't popped off since.

It can be the hook on the spreader had a cab harness that kept popping out the donkey Dick on any kite

the ozone donkey tends to be pretty flexible and is happening on quite a few reo's

replace with a north one which is stiff and it's all good. The north one's are longer and won't pop out.

Also slingshot will do the trick.

10 bucks, problem solved!

Thanks everyone for feedback,i went to the shop and brought a north donkey dick(it is twice the lenth of ozone one and also rated to 120kg where the ozone one has 50 to 100 kg on it and i am close to 100kg) and replaced the ozone one with the north and used kite today and its the first time i have flown it and it didnt come off, which is great as i was starting think i had brought a lemon, take a while to realy test it and trust it.

This isn't a problem, this is a good thing. The kite is trying to tell you to unhook more!
