Ok I will try to be more precise, the kite as such is not dangerous, but it does become such in combination with Best bar and lack of sufficient warnning how you should never use this piece of ****, lets forget for the moment that your flying lines can become fryied within 3 months, that your depower rope is **** in 2 months, newq lines $180, depower rope $45 but suprise suprise you canot get 09 rope you get 07 but the depower throw is diffrent from year to year , the line calibration is diffrent from year to year, its the whole world of mess, just follow all these problem on Best site.
More important is the bar itself and so called big black QR something conceived by a person on drugs or preschool kid, if you follow int. forums youll find out about cases it didnt work at all, hope enough said if you want me to continue let me know, but the best thing is to forget about the copycats from BEST( they cant even copy the ideas of others proply) and get the right gear and most importantly the proper and safe bar that will inspire and give you con fidence to push the boundries. Good luck.
Hey mate, sorry to hear you had so many bad experiences with the one bar. The few problems that were associated with the bar at the beginning were quickly fixed by the company. We warranted or fixed all issues at the start and the release of the Version 2 bar eliminated all probs associated.
Any problem that was reported to us was acted upon quickly and spare parts and replacements were sent out. The 2009 Waroo was a very successful kite and in my opinion was the best Waroo made. There was no Jelly fishing reported at all on this kite in Australia. Very solid, more c shape and better for freestyle then it ever has been. Waroo's didnt have to be pumped up to 10psi, however the Nemesis HP did so and could handle it, because it has the use of Cuben fibre in the leading edge.
Do you still have the kite or bar? Or did you sell it off to some other guy who now has a problem...
If you have an issue with a kite, the first place you take it is straight back to where you bought it from. Little hard if you purchase a kite from OS. There are bucket loads of specials to be had through Australian stores at the moment, and you will get backed up by service and warranty and even helped out if you are learning.
Diamond Blue wont be shipping Best into Australia any more, not sure about Naish but thats something that Naish Australia need to be on too. We need to help protect our industry in Australia as much as possible, otherwise shop owners will get the sh&ts and wont survive. If your leaving Australia then buy your gear when you get to your destination, because the money you think you will save on the purchase will most prob be lost on excess baggage.
All the best
