I live on the Gold Coast I'm down in Kingscliff and the wind here is always great so not many surfing opportunities for me on my days off. What size kite and equipment should I be looking at , I weigh 78kgs. I have been looking at Liquid Force as I don't wanna blow all my money on a kite to learn on. They have on-line kits for 1400+ which is good, what's the best way to go about this????

Be careful going for the cheaper option as i did and bought a Liquid Force Havoc for my first kite because it was a good deal for new gear but found myself trading it in after less than 12 months and spending more money on a kite i felt better on. If and when you get lessons, go to someone who dosent sell just one brand so you have plenty of options. I felt i struggled on my first kite but have progressed much quicker on my new one. I started on a 137 twin and am still riding it cause it was easy to learn on and i still at my novice level enjoy riding it.
