This is a link that was in a thread earlier in this forum. It has alot of great info and i highly recommend reading it. Lessons, and info on trimming and sheeting etc.

I would say ignore both those sites (just had a brief look and they dont seem very comprehensive) check here first www.seabreeze.com.au/Articles/Kitesurfing/Summary.aspx ask questions in this forum, or use the search function.

However, when you get some advice from here try to verify it somehow as many of the posts in this forum are also from newbies.... the blind leading the blind you might say

I do not agree with you Manicskier . 99% of newbies would check the Seebreeze site first but it but it just doesn't have everything. You have to search other sites and someone of them do have information that will help you and is correct.

All im saying is, i have read a lot of rubbish on the net and now that there is this newbies forum i have seen rubbish posted by other newbies in the form of advice.

Those two sites do not seem very good or well written at all.

For another source try these (from one of the better kite schools in Australia)
www.kiteboardingschool.com.au/index.php/beginner-newbie-tips/
www.kiteboardingschool.com.au/index.php/intermediate-rider-tricks/

And yes i agree that there are many other good sites out there, just not those ones IMO
