Hello all,
I recently purchased a second hand 2009 Naish Cult 12m. I did a few lessons in Perth and can't wait to hit the water and start the real learning.
I have a query about the rigging:
One of the front lines connects to the trim pulley, via a 4-hole stainless steel thingy. The other front line is connected to a yellow line that goes straight through the bar and connects to the leash.
Is this the correct setup? It just doesn't seem right. I have trawled through the net trying to find photos to compare. So far not much luck.
Cheers

Im not sure about the system you have exactly, but it does sound right.
If you pull the safety it will flag onto that one line.
I assume there is a stopper of some kind that makes the front lines the same when the kite is flying.

Thanks for the reply coreyb,
I have re-read the User's Guide a few times and it does seem to agree with what you're saying too. And the front line that connects to the leash does have a red stopper ball that holds the line via a ring on the quick release loop.
What I don't understand is: how can one of the front lines be effectively fixed in length by this stopper, and the other line be variable in length via the trim system? Wouldn't both front lines have to be of equal length in all configurations?

It sounds like the safety feature to me its ment to be like that. If your chicken loop is connected to your harness and you release the QR (quick release) above the chicken loop and let go of the bar the leash that is connected to that yellow line is the only line that pulls on the kite which makes it fall out of the sky and stops you from being dragged some wear you don't want to be dragged.
