"Serviced" my pump earlier tday with some keroscene and then re-lubed it before using it this afternoon.. annnywhhooo while pumping up my kite some of the excess goop which i assume is old grease and keroscene spat out onto the canopy onto my new vegas!

not to concerned about the little black coloured specks all over the material just wondering if this in anyway could have harmed my kite and what would be the best way about removing it (i tried a bit of washing machine powder and water).

Or am i being a worry wort, at the very least let this be a lesson to you all LET PUMP THOROUGHLY DRY and REMOVE EXCESS GREASE before use :)

Get some hand wash creme that Mechanics use for greasy hand and use this. Then wash off. Kerosene in side your bladders will ruin them quick. Make sure that you pump is clean and re-lubed with small amount of vasoline

Fark i didn't even think about the fact it would be in the chamber, hence in my bladder! I think it just bubbled out the top of the shaft and the wind blew it onto my kite that way. Thanks for reply

Vaseline is still petroleum based, silicon spray is better. Wipe old grease out with a rag then spray components, allow to dry and assemble.
